This year's race is set to be a double-header of thrills: Zhou Guanyu will appear in the F1 paddock with a new identity as a Ferrari F1 team reserve driver, and the all-female F1 Academy race will be held in Shanghai for the first time, with China's first F1 Academy wild card driver, Shi Wei, also known as Tie Dou, on the track.

March 21 (Friday)

All F1 drivers will appear in the First Practice Session and Sprint Qualifying. The F1 Academy will also raise its historic curtain in the Chinese Grand Prix on this day, with practice and qualifying sessions. The qualifying results will determine the starting order of the two rounds of main race on Saturday and Sunday. Don't miss out! Shi Wei will make her debut this day!

March 22 (Saturday)

The season's inaugural Sprint Race will kick off at 11am, a condensed and thrilling version of the main event, complete with a start and finish! Later in the afternoon, the Qualify Session will push the cars to their absolute speed limits, setting the starting order for Sunday's main race. Adding to the excitement, the F1 Academy will host the first race to showcase female drivers.

March 23 (Sunday)

First up is F1 Academy's second race. And then, the most highly anticipated Main Race – the climax of the Chinese Grand Prix – will kick off! Who will take the crown and engrave their name on the F1 champions list? Let's all witness and share in the moment of triumph!

Prior to the main race, join the pre-race events which include a driver parade and opening ceremony. Get a glimpse of the remarkable appearance of the world's best teams and drivers.

Be sure to arrive early to avoid missing any thrilling moment.

Q: What must I bring?

Be sure to bring your original valid ID document (such as ID card, passport, or identification documents from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) used for purchasing tickets on entering the venue.

Q: What is prohibited at the venue?

· Firearms, ammunition and explosives;

· Imitation guns and devices such as bows, slingshots, daggers and so on;

· Fireworks, gasoline, alcohol, lighters, matches and other flammable and explosive dangerous goods;

· Dangerous chemicals such as highly toxic, corrosive and radioactive substances;

· Hazardous biological agents, infectious disease pathogens and other dangerous substances;

· Heroin, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine and other types of drugs;

· Flags, retractable flagpoles, banners, signs, lighted signs, laser pointers, projectors and other equipment;

· Fragile containers (eg, glass bottles/cups), easily thrown food and beverages, larger hard fruits and foods, knives;

· Banners, slogans and other items used for propaganda with political, racial, religious, riotous and commercial content;

· Amplification equipment, such as musical instruments, whistles, horns, drums and other types of amplification equipment;

· All kinds of sticks and sharp objects that could cause personal injury, such as bats, long-handled umbrellas, pointed umbrellas and so on;

· Balls, rackets, frisbees and similar articles;

· Any unauthorized professional photographic and video equipment and tripods and monopods used for cameras and video cameras;

· Unauthorized items that may affect the normal conduct of the performance, such as radios, laser devices, lighting equipment, projection equipment, walkie talkies, radio equipment, etc;

· Drones, all kinds of flying machines;

· Other items expressly prohibited by national laws and regulations or other items that are considered by the security checking and bomb squad police to be incompatible with the function of the event site and obviously affecting safety.

Q: How to enjoy the race in comfort?

It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes and shoes to the circuit, and pay attention to the weather forecast.

Meanwhile, the noise of the race may be uncomfortable. Earplugs or earphones will be helpful.

3 Transportation

Shanghai International Circuit is at 2000 Yining Road in Jiading District.

It is highly recommended to take Metro Line 11 – it's fast, convenient, and helps you skip the traffic jams. Also, try to arrive early and beat the crowds to avoid long security lines at peak times.

Tips for fast entry

1) Gates 1, 2 and 9 are open for ticket checks. Spectators can choose the nearest gate to their grandstand location to enter.

Gate 1: Recommended for spectators with tickets for Grandstands A, B, and K.

Gate 2: Recommended for spectators with tickets for Grandstands B and C.

Gate 9: Recommended for spectators with tickets for Grandstands F, H, and J.

2) After the security check, spectators holding Chinese ID cards can proceed to the ticket gate for facial recognition to enter. Children without ID cards and spectators holding passports or Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan travel documents should go to the nearby manual service window for real-name authentication. On completion, they can enter by facial recognition.

3) Another ticket check is designated at each grandstand entrance. Have your ID documents ready again. Those having completed real-name authentication can enter through facial recognition.

4) All ticket checkpoints allow the same ticket holder to exit and re-enter multiple times, as long as they meet the entry requirements. Ticket checks are required each time on entry.

5 Food, beverages, shopping and entertainment

Plus, beyond the main grandstand, catering and rest areas are conveniently located near grandstands B/H/K, offering easy access for spectators. Drinking stations are also set up for spectators to use.

Fountain Plaza - Checkered Flag Carnival

The "Fountain Plaza - Checkered Flag Carnival" outside Gate 1 is open to everyone – no ticket required. You can still soak in the electrifying F1 atmosphere with a dazzling array of booths that will keep you captivated.

Notably, this year's event introduces a "dual-venue" experience for the first time. Since March 16, it has taken over the North Bund International Passenger Center Cruise Terminal, sparking the city's F1 frenzy!
