A two-day traditional culture fair opened on Friday at the Jing'an Culture Center in celebration of this year's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day that falls on Saturday.

Visitors can try on hanfu (Han clothing 汉服) and women can experience ancient makeup, like flower-patterned ornaments pasted on the forehead, and a hair ornament adorning traditional hairstyles.

Then, it's time to experience what it's like to be ancient Chinese through a wide range of immersive activities such as making a xiangnang (香囊), a fragrant sachet filled with herbs and worn by ancients as accessories.

You can also embroider a tuanshan (团扇), a round-shaped fan used by ancient Chinese women, or enjoy burning incense, considered one of the four elegant lifestyles favored by men of letters in ancient China.

On Friday evening, a special concert presented by erhu (a two-stringed Chinese fiddle 二胡) player Ma Jiajun and jazz musician Lu Xuanchen was held.

Check the official WeChat account of the culture center (jaqwhg) to see a full list of activities.
