This March, adopt a stray on Shanghai Adoption Day

Shanghai Adoption Day on March 22 will host a range of activities for stray animals looking for a home.

The activities will provide an opportunity for pet lovers wishing to adopt, have fun with their furry friends, or donate to a worthy cause.

Furry Fun at Qimeow Happiness Factory

The event, promoted by the USC Shanghai Alumni Association, will feature a Pet Adoption Day at Qimeow Happiness Factory at Seasons Place Shopping Center. The idea is to "Adopt, Don't Shop" and assist in finding a permanent home for stray animals.

The event includes two fun-filled activities:

The Doggy Snack Dash involves dogs making their way to the finish line while stopping at snack spots along the course. The fastest pup (and the fullest) wins!

Find the Treat: Each dog participates in a sniffing test where three cups await them, each containing a delicious treat. Will they pick the right one?

Each game will have 12 participant spots, and all furry contenders will receive special pet snacks as gifts provided by Qibei Pie. Interested pet owners can scan the QR code to sign up and join the fun.

Dyson Pet Adoption Fair

Shanghai Adoption Day and Dyson are hosting a two-day adoption fair at Qibao Link Plaza. About 60 cats and dogs will be hooked up with new families.

An expert veterinarian will provide free pet health checks and guidance at the event to ensure pets receive the finest care.

The 78th Shanghai Pet Adoption Day

The 78th Shanghai Pet Adoption Day will be held on March 29 at Shanghai Seasons Place Shopping Center, featuring a diverse group of adorable cats and dogs yearning for a second chance at happiness.

To add to the charitable spirit of the event, there will be an eco-friendly second-hand charity market. Families are invited to bring leftover pet supplies, books, and home goods to donate. All earnings from the market will go directly to Shanghai Adoption Day's rescue and welfare initiatives.
