A Lego-themed Chinese temple fair popped up on Jiujiaochang Street, open through February 12, inviting visitors to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
The fair features three interactive Lego installations inspired by festive Lego sets for the CNY. The first is a giant folding fan decorated with magpies and plum blossoms lights, symbolizing good fortune and prosperity. The second is a trotting-horse lantern. By scanning a QR code, visitors can submit their wishes, which will then be displayed on screens, bringing their dreams to life.
The third is a magnificent 1.5-meter tall Lego Fortune Cat, crafted by Lego master builder Jiang Shenghui and his team. This impressive installation consists of approximately 181,000 Lego bricks and took over 1,180 hours to complete. The model is designed with moving arms and sound effects, activated by a Chinese yuanbao. Visitors can building their own creative yuanbao by Lego bricks and feed the cat.
Complete all three parts for a chance to win a Chinese lantern kit and build your own paper lantern. All the activities are free.
